The Yamaha has launched the Yamaha R1.The bike is made with equipped technology and is sports bike made for speed loving, racing and styling personalities. The bike is fitted with an engine of 998cc which is real very heavy engine. Also the engine is liquid cooled. The engine is fitted with 4 heavy cylinders and sixteen valve DOHC engine. The engine can produce 180 horse power at 12,500rpm and a torque of 10,000rpm.The top speed of Yamaha r1 is 190mph.so it's kept under the racing bikes category. It is the Yamaha that has introduced the cross plane crankshaft technology in the two wheelers. The only thing that makes Yamaha R1 different is this cross plane crankshaft technology. There are 4 valves per cylinder in the engine.

The compression ratio of the engine is 12.7:1.The bike is electric start and there's regular fuel requirementTheres 6 speed transmission gears that provides manual speed and acceleration to the bike and with in a fraction of seconds the bike disappears. The front wheel has Pirelli-120/70 ZR17 and the rear tyre is Pirelli-190/50 ZR17.The bike gives a complete satisfaction to the rider. The sitting arrangement of the bike is made such that the rider rides with rest and even enjoys while riding. As riding a sports bike is many times dangerous but YAMAHA R1 is built with every safety feature like disc brakes. The front brake of the bike is dual hydraulic disc and the rear brake of the bike is single hydraulic disc type.

This motor bike has high rating engine so consumes a lots of fuel that's why a fuel tank of capacity 18 litres is fitted in the bike. The wheelbase of the bike is 1414.8mm.The bike provides a firm grip to the road. For the safety and alertness of the rider the bike is fitted with a digital clock, tacometer, speedometer, trip odometer, a lap timer, an adjustable shift light type, a gauge for temperature warning, a low fuel level indicator. The bike is priced at $11,700 and it may vary according to requirements and specification and accessories. The bike has made a powerful impact on racing world and its also introducing new models and providing new technology in every R1 series. Due to the big success of R1 series the company is ready to bring more models of this series. The bike comes out with a limited warranty and the manufacturer has recommended a min age of 16 for the bike.
