Everyone is tired of pollution, everyone want to live in an environment where fuel is not used, yet we can still enjoy its benefits. Today, with a lot of people putting on efforts for a clean and safe environment, alternative transportation for cars have been very popular and are sprouting like mushrooms. But somehow, you sit and wonder, how about those gas guzzling, exhaust burning, engine revving off road vehicles like all terrain vehicles? Is it possible to have an electric all terrain vehicles?

With a very clear vision, Barefoot Motors wants to be the one to do all that. They discovered that it is possible to build a better electric vehicle in terms of performance. According to its co-founder Melissa Brandao, "Until now, there has been no green alternative to the gas ATV that is being used in vineyards, and the technology is out there to build a vehicle that is comparable."

So what are the advantages of an electric ATV? Aside from the fact that it has zero emissions, Barefoot Motor's prototype runs 2.5 hours of average use on a charge and is back to 80 percent charge over a lunch break, which is more than adequate run time on a farm or vineyard. On a charge, you don't need to accelarate 300 miles.

Barefoot Motors is optimistic that they can change the landscape of ATVs, by producing an electric, safe and environment-friendly all terrain vehicle for the people. Let's just hope that we can all achieve this sooner of later.
